We want to edit all existing orders that came from outside the EU to have no tax. Because by default tax is added to their order. Instead, we want to add the tax to the total price, excluding tax and just removing the tax alltogether.

This always worked fine, however since a while this no longer works. WooCommerce keeps automatically adding the 21% tax we’ve programmed in the system no matter what. Even when we change the tax rate to a 0% tax rate, when updating the order it will remove the 0% and re-add the 21%.

It’s very frustrating. Can someone please help us out? Because we cannot do a proper tax administration like this. Thank you in advance!

  • Hi,

I understand there is an issue with the WooCommerce system. The problem is that the system continues to add a 21% tax automatically to all orders from outside the EU, even when edited to a 0% tax rate.

From your description, it seems like there’s a glitch in the system that re-adds the 21% tax on orders, even after being edited to a 0% rate.

To take a closer look, could you please provide us with additional details regarding your WooCommerce and WordPress versions, any tax plugins you are using, and any customizations you’ve made related to the taxation system?

It would be great if you share your System Status Report, found under WooCommerce > Status, on your site.

And please share a copy of any fatal error log found under WooCommerce > System Status > Logs (if available).

Once we have this information, we’ll be in a better position to help.
