Automatically add featured image to slider

    Hello all.

    I’m new to wordpress and so it may just be my inexperience but is there a way of automatically adding featured images to a home page slider by tag? So for instance if I tagged certain posts with “slider” they would automatically turn up on the home page.

    I’m wondering maybe if I need the right app or if perhaps it’s just not possible. Any help would be great.
