    Hello!

I just received an email from wordpress informing me that the wordpress automatically updated. I did not request this.

When I checked the website all fonts changed and my additional css codes from customizer do not appear anymore!!!!

Please help me!!! This is unbelievable!!! I spent months to make all these changes in additional css.

    Marius

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Don’t edit the theme files directly, otherwise your changes will be overwritten whenever the theme is updated. A better option is to use child themes especially if you intend to modify more than just CSS, create a child theme.

Do you have current backups of your custom css?

This shouldn’t be related to the 4.8.3 update today. Today’s update didn’t update themes. Your CSS might still be somewhere that you can retrieve it.

@berksted is right, you should put style changes into a child theme, but look around and you might still be able to find your CSS.

    Dear both,

Thank you for response. It is actually a child theme. Also, I did not updated the theme. Just wordpress updated automatically.

Regarding the backup, I don’t have. The website is hosted on Amazon AWS. I contacted their support but still no answer from them.

Where I should look for the additional css if I have no backup?

    Thank you,
    Marius
