Just to name a few. These plugins will give you options to approve each member access automatically or manually and assign each user a role. Roles in WordPress are like permissions or accounts, depending on the role of a user, he/she has ability to do this or that in WordPress or website. The above WordPress membership plugins can also restirct access to certain content, etc… Based on rules or permissions, thru automatically approval.
