• I used to be able to simply click the automatic upgrade button and plugins would upgrade automatically. Now it requires me to enter password etc. and usually fails. I just recently had my server management company upgrade my server to PHP 5 though and in doing so I noticed my file permissions changed.

Suggestions on what I can do?

On a side note: I see I have an upgrade folder in my wp-content folder, can I simply delete all of that? I noticed fresh installs don’t have that folder.

really ? i got this from one of my blog. But i get succesfull on the others. maybe this’s more a host problem and not wordpress upgrade. for example, bad server or something like that

i believe you shouldn’t delete those folder. but i’m not too sure
