Automatic update feature disappeared
-
Hi Friends,
I’m using Yoast plugin for years now on my sites.
Since last YOAST version, the “See…version details or automatic update” text disappeared from WP backend Dashboard > Plugins listing, under YOAST “excerpt”.
(The first true all-in-one SEO solution for WordPress, including on-page content analysis, XML sitemaps and much more.)
There is only ‘Version number’, ‘Author name’ and ‘Details’How can I update now?
I’m with WP 4.9.12 and YOAST 10.1.3.
This combo have been compatible for months, so should be compatible now, as I haven’t changed the version any of them.
If I click on ‘Details’, there is a notification:
” Warning: This plugin is not compatible with the present WP version.”
Beneath right side data also missing “UPDATE NOW” button.WP 4.9.12 and YOAST 10.1.3. versions have been compatible, so the notification is probably fault.
There must be other reasons.I understand if Yoast recent version is not supporting any-more older WP versions,
but why I can’t use older Yoast versions for older WP versions that fit each other? Why missing update feature in this case?I plan to update to WP 5.3 at the end of 2019, but how can I update Yoast plugin
without update buttons?Any hint, how to fix this?
THX
