I like that WooCommerce has implemented the new Automatic Tax Calculation, but I need to set a food item, just for NC that we sell to 2%. How do you override this? There is no documentation I can find on the new automatic tax calculation feature.

And if it is automatic, why isn’t there categories of items? Not everything is taxed the same.

    Anyone have any ideas?

I wanted to add: I did create a separate tax class called “NC Food” and put it at 2% but WooCommerce is changing it to 6.75% after I reload the page.

It seems WooCommerce needs a setting on each Tax Class for Automatic Updates, and not to the entire system.

    Hi @marcpope,

This is a feature of WooCommerce Services, not WooCommerce. In the future it’s best to go here for help:

Right now there is no way to override automatic tax calculations – you would need to disable them entirely and set your own tax rules.
