I logged into the backside of site today to do some work. All of a sudden I’m met with plugins that I had deleted months ago, and lack of newer plugins. I can’t quite tell, but it looks like the site has been somehow erroneously or automatically restored to an earlier version. Is there some setting that could cause this? If not, is there some glitch anyone is aware of that could have? My host swears they did not do anything, and I know for a fact that I did not make any restorations, so how could this have just “restored” an earlier version on it’s own?

    Hi,

UpdraftPlus does not have an automatic restore feature. All processes needs to be triggered/clicked manually via the website admin/manager.

You can try to restore your site using your backups and see if you are able to restore everything back.

That’s kind of what I thought, but my host company (Hostinger) is telling me that the issue we are experiencing is due to your plugin, which I do not believe.

The issue is that somehow our Updraft Plus plugin has been deleted from the website, and the old plugin from Bluehost (from before we migrated) is actually re-installed.  I have a feeling this is because of Hostinger’s servers (or, rather their hPanel, which can control backups, plugins, etc.).

Seeing as how they refuse to address that the problem could be from their end, and instead blamed YOUR plugin for this problem, that is why I wanted to touch base.  To be able to have some information from your developers to go back to them with.

Thank you for the current information, and if there is any further information/proof you can supply that would help me troubleshoot with my host company (Hostinger), I would be very appreciative.

    Thank you.

I don’t have any further evidence but check in your must use plugins and see if they have added anything there.

Also, feel fee to tag us in if they need any clarification on the matter.
