Hi
I’m sorry you’re upset, and I would like to set the record straight on a few things:
- The LiteSpeed Cache plugin does NOT automatically install itself on your website. This is something your hosting provider has done.
- LiteSpeed provides a tool to hosting providers that they can use to install LiteSpeed Cache if they wish.
Now here is the important part:
If you already have a cache plugin, then your site should have been skipped by the tool.
We’ve double-checked and triple-checked our code, and it is working properly. If you are seeing otherwise, then please speak to your hosting provider. The most likely explanation is that they have changed our code and bypassed this protection.
If the tool isn’t honoring your cache plugin choice, there is another way to opt out:
In cPanel, choose the LiteSpeed Web Cache Manager, select LiteSpeed Cache Management > WordPress Cache and “flag” your site. This will make sure your site is skipped next time the mass installation tool is run.
Or just contact your hosting provider and have them flag it for you.
I hope this helps.
