automatic insertion of “https://” to comment_author_url

    I wonder if anyone can help.

    I’d like to identify where in the core files “https://” is added to comment_author_url when a user posts a comment and includes their URL.

    Or, failing that, how I can output <?php comment_author_email_url(); ?> without the https:// in front.

    Perhaps instead of the above I can use whatever code generates the output in the image below, on the Edit Comments admin page:

    This strips https:// and www. from values stored in comment_author_url.. but I just can’t find the code for this in the core files.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    I want to use the field: ‘comment_author_url’ to save the ‘city’
    then, i need to do this insert without ‘https://&#8217;
    I already changed comment’s templates.
