automatic compression and file size limit problems

Previously when I upload new images to my post, the files would be automatically compressed by this plugin, but now as of mid to late Nov, all the new uploaded images are not compressed automatically even though Automatic smushing is enabled.

We’re also getting the not smushed with files under 1.0 mb: “Skipped (979.7 KB), size limit exceeded”
