    Hello,

I’m using Solid Security since a few weeks. I wanted to check if the backups were done correctly, but…the aren’t.

I’ve put 1 day between each save, both methods (email and local, with 2 addresses to send), 31 saves to keep (compressed) and the default tables to save.

When I ask a backup manually from the Dashboard, I receive the emails on both addresses, and the backup file is indeed in the directory. So, everything is good there.

But the automatic backups aren’t done. I configured it 2 weeks ago, and the only backup I have is the one I’ve done manually.

    Did I miss something ?

    Thanks.

  • Hi @unsautenavant,

Add the line below to the wp-config.php file (if not already):

    define('ITSEC_DEBUG', true);

This will add a new?Débogage?(sub)menu option to the Solid Security menu option. Log into the WordPress backend and navigate to:

    Solid Security > Débogage

In the?Planificateur?section of the Débogage page there should be multiple Solid Security cron events visible. One of these is the cron event with ID backup. Does it exist?

Also at the bottom of the cron events list you should see which Solid Security scheduling type is currently active:

    • ITSEC_Scheduler_Cron (WP cron scheduling, which is the preferred type).
    • ITSEC_Scheduler_Page_Load (Page load scheduling).

Which type do you currently have?

    Hello,

Thank you so much for all this informations.

I just checked, and the saves are working since my first message. I really don’t know why it wasn’t working before, as I didn’t change the settings…

To answer your questions, yes, the backup ID exists and the scheduling type is Cron.

    Again, thank you.
