Automated Tax Option Not Given

    I installed the plugin today version 2.4.2 WooCommerce version 7.1.1, Theme: Astra version 4.5.1. Under Woocommerce > General > Enable tax rates and calculations option is enabled. But I don’t see Automated taxes option given in the plugin page screenshot under the Tax section. I am located in the US and I have gone through all of the troubleshooting. This still happens with only WooCommerce and this plugin enabled. Any help would be appreciated!

    The version of WooCommerce you’re using is outdated, so as a first step, please update to the latest version. You can find step-by-step instructions here: How to Update WooCommerce.

    Regarding the tax issue, even if the tax value for an order shows as 0.00, Automated Taxes may still be functioning correctly.

    If your store is based in a region like the United States, you only need to collect sales tax from customers in locations where you have a “tax nexus,” typically indicating a physical presence. WooCommerce Shipping & Tax uses your store address (WooCommerce > Settings > General) as your “tax nexus.”

    To confirm if automated tax calculation is working properly, try adding an address where you have a tax nexus and ensure all checkout fields are populated.
