    Hi,
I had the automated DB backup up and running on daily basis sent to my email.
Worked fine for long time but suddenly it stopped working and no backup is done or sent.

    Whats happened?
And where to look for problem causing this?

    /Robert

Hi, did you update any plugin or theme? Do you know if your host made some changes to your server?

    Thank you

    Hmmm hard to remember.
Was it a All in one WP security update recently?

When I do a manual backup it works and I get it sent by email.

    Thanks!

Hi, this plugin was updated 2 months ago. If this issue started recently then I suspect that something changed in your site as per my previous comment.

    Kind regards

It worked until 12th of December.
The plugin in it self is working and all other functions.
Its just the scheduled DB backup that stopped working.
Same backup done manual is working.

    What can interfere with that?
And where to look if something got wrong?

    Thanks!

Hi, schedule backups work with your WordPress cron jobs. So if your cron jobs are not working correctly then your schedule backups will not work. That is why your manual backups work but not your schedule backups.

This is usually related to some server setting configuration. I suggest that you speak to your host about this issue. Find out if your cron jobs are working correctly or not in your site. You might like to also use the following plugin to check and see if your cron jobs are working. Look for the cron job related to this plugin schedule backups.

Let me know if you need more help.

    Kind regards

Checked the WP cron job log but its empty.
I don’t think something changed on the server.

Can I see if there is something in the cron job file.
If all that should be there is there?

    Thanks!

I installed the WP Control plugin and there is an daily scheduled backup.

    aiowps_daily_cron_event None
    AIOWPSecurity_Cronjob_Handler->aiowps_daily_cron_event_handler()
    2018-01-19 13:17:53 (5 hours 27 minutes) Once Daily

    But it doesn’t happen.

    Thanks!

Hi, try the following disable and then enable the plugin again. Then carry out a schedule backup test.

Let me know how you go.

I will not lose any settings made?

    Thanks!

Hi, no you will not loose your settings. Once you enable the plugin it will ask you if you wish to restore the previous settings.

    Hi,
You need to also see the aiowps_hourly_cron_event in the list of scehduled cron events because that’s the one which is used to check for scheduled DB backups.
A simple deactivate and reactivate of this plugin should restart it again.

Only aiowps_daily_cron_event is in the WP Control list.

Yes which is why I recommend that you deactivate and reactivate this plugin. This action will reschedule that wp cron process.

    Hi,
yes I did deactivate but it started to work maybe too good cos
it made backup every hour instead of once a day ??

I made all settings again so now it stopped to make backup every hour.
Lets see if it will do it now once a day as I set it up to do.

Thats why I did not reply since I was waiting it to happen.
I think it will work now.

    Thanks!

    Hi,
it worked for a few days after deactivate/activate but now it stopped again.

And also the logs are empty.
Its not supposed to log things?

The WP Cron Events are showing the hourly and daily cron jobs and that the daily
should be executed the next day but nothing happens, its not saved on the server or sent by email.

Can not do a deactivation every third day.
I going for another backup solution.
