    Hello dear experts,
    I am looking for a new CMS for our new website for a jewelry shop. i want to make it based on WordPress. We need to have a section where we will show / lifestream the prices of the gold in Austria from the website https://www.oegussa.at/de/charts/tageskurse

    What solution do I have?

    There are likely plugins that display precious metal prices, but their source of data is unlikely the one you want. Ideally the data source would have an API through which you can get structured data that is easily processed. If an API is available, developing a custom app to fetch and display data would’t be too complex.

    It is possible to scrape the web page for the data you need, but it’s a rather fragile process. If they change the page’s content or structure, your scraping script will likely fail and need updating to match the current structure. Data from an API will surely be much more stable in its structure.

    Dear @bcworkz thank you for the answer. I think you are right. It better to stick to the safe solution. At the end no one needs a website with low functionality.
