• Good afternoon,

I am new to Mailpoet3. Previously I was using Mailpoet2 and the following use case worked all fine. But it does not work anymore with Mailpoet3.

    I have a multi-lingual website with WPML.

My posts can be in French or English. I have attached them to a category English or a category French.

Then, in Mailpoet, I have created 2 automated notifications: 1 with automated content for category English, and one for category French.

In mailpoet2, my notifications were correctly triggerred.
But in Mailpoet3, only the English one is triggerred.

This was the reason why I remained with Mailpoet2.

But it seems that Maipoet2 is not working anymore, and I have no other choice than switching to version 3.

Could you please advise me on the best way to work this out?

    Thank you and kind regards

  • Hi @jciconyl,

Unfortunately, MailPoet 3 does not directly support qTranslate, WPML or Polylang.

The only way to trigger the Post Notification emails per language is by having the posts duplicated and using different WordPress categories and/or tags.

We don’t identify the categories created by WPML for each language.

    Sorry for the inconvenience.

Good afternoon and thank you for your kind answer. I already noticed I had to create different categories, but only one category is properly triggerred.
Could you please be more specific in how to create these categories and attached to which language? What do you mean by “We don’t identify the categories created by WPML for each language.”?

My idea was to create a post attached to a category French, both under WPML French language.
And do the same with English.

Then create two automated newsletters, one for each category French and English.

But only one category is triggerred.

Do you mean I should create posts and categories within same WPML language?
But if I do that, how would my post be presented with the menus in the right language?

Thank you for your kind support

PS: the category and post which triggers an email notification is the one attached to default website language: English. But my Category and Post attached to French language is not trigerred
