• Hi, it’s a beautiful plugin to add many languages to a site without making a mess of the admin!

I had some problems sharing posts to facebook though. Every time I share a post on fb the autogenerated description is in the original language of the post, and not in the translated version.

Is there a way to make the description added to the post when shared on fb correspond to the translated language version of the post?

Thanks alot for an efficient and minimalistic plugin!

Thank you for trying this plugin!

Is there a custom filter defined in your plugin to filter a content just before it is sent to facebook? What is the plugin you’re using?

    Hi Maxime,

I am using SEO Ultimate as an seo plugin if that is what you mean. I tested the multilingual posts in the facebook debugger, but they always show the source language description. I tried with polylang and the multilingual description worked fine, but it creates a mess in the admin so i really prefer your plugin. ??

Unfortunately there is no hook to filter out the content used by SEO Ultimate for facebook (og:description). Unlike polylang, Sublanguage is unable to translate this for now. I’ll try to improve this.

A work around is to use the meta-description (and register metakey for translation, see your other topic).
