autocomplete:off does not work

Hello,
I have noticed that autocomplete:off does not work in my CF7 forms. Instead, Google is recommending this:
<p><label>Account: <input type=”text” name=”ac” autocomplete=”off”></label></p>
However, autocomplete=”off” added to a CF7 tag just adds off in the text field.
What should I do?
