• I created a form for my website using Contact Form 7.

One of the fields is an email field. It is preceded by (and followed by) a number of text fields.

…So, I go to test the form in Chrome. I start by entering my email address and I clicked the “autocomplete” suggestion that Chrome gives me. But when I click the suggestion, that email address gets entered not only in that email field, but also in every preceding and every subsequent text field.

As long as the text fields are consecutive (for example, without any radio buttons between them), ALL these fields get autofilled with the email address.

Has anyone else experienced (or heard of) this problem?

  • Can you provide a screenshot of the form set-up in the backend?

Sorry for the late reply. An update: it appears that the problem is occurring with just one of my email addresses. With the others, autofill works normally (completes just one field).

Since this seems to affect just one email address, I’m going to assume it’s just a Chrome problem & do some further testing.

I’ll update this thread as I learn more about the problem.
