Hello, thanks again for this great plugin.

I’m trying to stick to on an older version of the plugin but it keeps auto-updating even though I’ve disabled auto-updates. Any thoughts? It may well be an issue my end but it doesn’t seem to happen with other plugins where I’ve disabled auto-updates so thought I would check.

In case it helps, the reasons I’m sticking to an older version for now is that there are a couple of MacOS Safari related bugs with the current version. The popup text doesn’t show when you click on a marker. And the elevation profile feature that allows you to hover over and follow the route doesn’t work properly (it does sometimes as long as you keep the cursor within the darker shaded part of the profile but sometimes even that doesn’t seem to work). I’m not seeing any console errors. Both work fine on Chrome.

    Thanks

There’s nothing in the plugin which would affect auto-updates so I don’t know why they are being forced. There are settings in you wp-config.php which could force this, and your host may also have a role in it.

That’s a pain about Safari. I updated to Leaflet 1.7.1 to fix a bug with Chrome and fullscreen but it seems that breaks stuff on Safari. Maybe I need to revert that to 1.6.1 and live with the minor Chrome bug. Sigh…

Thanks for getting back to me, I’ll speak to my host and see if we can get to the bottom of it.

Yes I can see how maintaining cross-browser compatibility is a pain! Thanks again for all your efforts.

I did try reverting some of the changes, going back to Leaflet 1.7.1 and some intermediate version of Leaflet-elevation. Unfortunately this introduces different problems so I’m going to stick with what I have for now.

The issue with popups not appearing is a known issue in Leaflet 1.7.1. There’s a suggested fix which I will try on BrowserStack.

The problem with elevation profiles I’ll have to throw back at the plugin author, but I know he’s not able to respond quickly at the moment due to other commitments.
