Auto update to 3.7.3 FROM 3.9? why?

Hi,

I’m running 3.9 on my site. Still, every day at either 8.40 am or pm, I get two emails from wordpress.

Email 1 tells me I’ve been updated to version 3.7.3

Email 2 tells me 3.9 is available.

Thing is, I’m on 3.9. WordPress auto ‘updates’ that to 3.7.3, which break my site, and means a manual update from 3.7.3 to 3.9 to even get into the admin panel etc, as the database settings were updated when I put 3.9 on.

So, every day WordPress breaks my site by downgrading me.

I’ve tried putting the update:false script from here in the config file. no change, still happens.

I’ve tried using a plug in to stop it auto ‘updating’. Hasn’t worked.

Kind of at the outer limits of knowledge and patience, as this is happening like clockwork every 24 hours!

Can anyone tell me what I’ve done wrong please? I’m sure I’ve missed something…
