Auto thumbnail wih Church theme not working. Tried everything!
-
Hi all, I was wondering if anyone here is using the Studiopress Church theme and might be able to help. Basically I am having the auto thumbnail issue that many others have although I have tried all the fixes I’ve read and nothing seems to work. Basically instead of a thumbnail I get either a second post title (in Firefox) or a red X in I.E.
I was also getting this issue with the theme set up on my localhost before I uploaded it. But I am now just checking it all over using the Test Drive Plugin, and it’s a good job too…! I hope these images all appear below, as due to using Test Drive I cannot link to the theme direct.
I’m using Church 4 and with my permissins were set to this as standard:
/tools/ folder 755
/tools/cache/ folder 755
timthumb.php 644Which gave me this, when viewed with Firebug…
<img src=”https://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/richardmpeters/random/775.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Photobucket”>
I then read a fix that said change the permissions, so I did, to what was suggested:
/tools/ folder 777
/tools/cache/ folder 777
timthumb.php 644And that gave me this result…
<img src=”https://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/richardmpeters/random/777.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Photobucket”>
Which tells me the original permissions are ok and that is not the issue?
My custom fields are correct:
<img src=”https://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/richardmpeters/random/C_field-1.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Photobucket”>
And finally, my Tools/Cache/ folder looks like this:
<img src=”https://i24.photobucket.com/albums/c22/richardmpeters/random/CACHE.jpg” border=”0″ alt=”Photobucket”>
So the images are in there (I downloaded one and opened it in photoshop) so I’m wondering if it’s a code issue that needs fixing in one of my .php files or something?!
Any help would be VERY appreciated!!!
Thank you.
