    Hi there,

I have a general question about auto terms, since I can’t figure out it’s something Taxopress Pro or Free can help me with.

I have a Woocommerce shop with Product Categories, I want to add more Product Categories and have products be added automatically. But, there are some catches to this.

For instance, let’s say I have a Product Category called ‘Reading Lights’. If I let auto terms do it’s thing it will search either titles and/or descriptions for ‘reading lights’ and add them to this Product Category. However, ‘booklight’ is also a term it should add to this same Product Category, since it’s the same thing. Is there a way I can let Taxopress search for more than just an exact match?

‘reading light’, ‘reading lights’, ‘booklight’ and ‘booklights’ should all be added to the same Product Category.

In addition to this: I’m curious if I can also ‘block’ words. For instance, let’s say a product is named Wall Reading Light, but I don’t want any products added with the word ‘wall’ in them, is there any way I can filter this out?

Thanks in advance. Would love to find out if Taxopress free or pro could help me with this.

    Hi @gereedschap

    Thanks for using TaxoPress.

This feature isn’t available yet, but it is on our roadmap.

    Hi Steve,

Thanks for the quick answer. Could you maybe explain what isn’t yet available? Because when I check the auto terms options there is an option for ‘ignoring’ partial terms. Does that mean that products containing ‘reading lights’ and ‘reading light’ would be added to a product categorie called ‘Reading Lights’?

@gereedschap Yes, TaxoPress can pick up those overlapping term but it can’t yet associate ‘reading lights’ and ‘booklights’.

Thanx for explaining! Do you have any idea within what time frame this functionality might be added?

Hopefully in the next few months. It won’t be coming immediately, but it’s definitely on our radar.
