    Hello,

I’ve got everything setup per the KBinfo, etc. I’m having some issues for my application and am wondering if you can clarify if they are issues or items which the plugins just does not support:

    1. I have “Enable auto-sync” set to “YES” but the only way I can get data to sync is clicking the “Process” in the “Background processing” section. Is there a default polling time for this to ‘auto-sync’ for me or do I have to do some kind of CRON on the server or otherwise to get it to ‘auto-sync’? Or must we always just click “Process” to send the data to Mailchimp?

    2. I have a “Send Additional Fields” setup. It appears to pass data on the initial sync of a user to the Mailchimp custom field, but on later syncs it does not update the custom field. I see the plugin is ‘listening’ and processing the request, but it is just not updating or showing any activity over in Mailchimp. Am I doing something wrong or is this just not supported?

    3. The “There are 1 background jobs waiting to be processed.” in the “Background processing” section ALWAYS has 1. I’m logged in with the admin and it appears in the logs it is trying to update my user continually (therefore the 1). Prehaps it is seeing something in the DB changing since I am logged in? Is this normal or a bug?

    Thanks for your help.

    Hey JM,

Our plugin uses WordPress’s built-in cron to sync data every 60 minutes. If this is not happening, please go to “MailChimp for WP > Others” and check if there are any errors listed. Also, check if your WP Cron is working well in case it’s not you can then setup cron using your host’s control panel.

Can you let us know if you have enabled 2 way sync?

Lastly, regarding the background jobs, it’s possible there is a user that our plugin is not able to sync due to some issue. There are many things that can cause it but it’s bit difficult to debug.

Due to complicated nature of this plugin, we would be shutting it down in the coming months and replace it with something that is easier to use and debug.

Thanks @hchouhan. I’ll be following up with you directly via email (per your support email). But for the sake of this thread and others…

    1. Yes, it does now appear to do the CRON every 60mins. I let it sit overnight and it appeared to process, but I was unclear on what interval it was doing so prior to your message and my test. It was not stated anywhere I could find in KB.

    2. Yes, I do have 2-way sync setup. I don’t need it specifically. But I set it up. (See my support email for followup.)

    3. Ok regarding the odd user. (See my support email for followup.)

    4. Can you explain more about this plugin being depreciated? I’d like to use it but if it is going away… will we need to reconfigure everything in a few months or will there be any capability with the old plugin config? Also will all the same User Sync functions remain supported?

    Thanks.
