Auto switch to browser language option not working

    Hi, I’m using GTranslate on multiple sites for translation and it was working perfectly. I use the Auto switch to browser language: option so the visitors coming from different countries/location see the site in their native language. It used to be working previously but from sometime the auto switch option isn’t working.

    It will glitch or simply not work at all. The translator is fine, I can change the language by selecting from the menu but it won’t adjust to my browser language automatically. I have also updated to the latest version but it didn’t work as well.

    Can you please help me why it’s not working and what could be the issue? It’s important for me to resolve this issue and I don’t really want to switch to another plugin.

    I also tried unticking and ticking if could work but it didn’t work as well.

    Hi,

    You will need to make tests with incognito window, since the auto switch happens only for the first time visitors.

    If that still does not work, please visit https://gtranslate.io/detect-browser-language and report what you see and make sure to post your website address, so I can check.

    Thank you for the help, I have tested the way you said and it’s working.

    I was not aware that it will work for only first time user.

    However, the one question I have is, let’s say one user visit my site from Germany and the auto translate shows the German translate the first time will it show the german version the second time visitor comes?
    Same with if visitors are coming from different countries will it show in respective language everytime?

    I had a similar issue, i changed the cache plugin an after that it worked

    with Auto switch to browser language set to off, pagespeed gives e me no error:

    I use wp fastest cache, and already exclude navigator.languages from js, but issue remain
