Auto-show media item in media-upload.php Gallery tab?

When you access media-upload.php you have a Gallery tab. Fine. This tab lists all the media items that are “attached” to that particular post. Fine. When you click the “Show” link next to an item thumbnail then a number of input fields are displayed (eg. Title, Caption, Description, etc). All fine.

However, is there any way of making the Gallery auto-show a specific media item? For example, a user wants to edit the “Caption” field for attachment ID: 1470. When I link them through to media-upload.php (displayed as iFrame in Thickbox), is there any way of plugging this attachment ID value through so that the relevant media item is fully expanded and ready for the user to edit the Title, Caption, Description, etc fields?
