  • tvheim,
You could add the redirect to the post edit page and redirect it there (make it active and put the new URL in the destination field). That would make the old URL automatically link to the new page even if they clicked it (and even though it will still look like it is going to the blog post page).

Let me know if that doe not make any sense.
    Warm regards,
    Don

    Hi,
Thank you so much for getting back to me!

Unfortunately I′m not skilled when it comes to this kind of stuff. Any chance you could try to explain it step by step? If you are able to explain it in an easier way that would also be highly appreciated!

    Thank you so much!

    Kind Regards, Thomas

Looking at this a little more in depth, I am not sure you are going to be able to use the plugin to do what you want (as it would not be ideal to add a redirect for EVERY new aggregated RSS post).

More than likely you will either have to hook into the RSS plugin (if they allow it) and modify the permalink for the image to the source URL. If they don’t allow it, you may need someone to some up with a jQuery script to do it for you on the front end.

Since I did not write that RSS plugin and I am not familiar with its programming, You will need to get in touch with them, or find someone to look into it for you.

    Ream regards,
    Don
