Auto Publish Stopped Working

Same problem here. It looks hanging on the “ping” to Facebook, stopping all the script. Refreshing the page the rest of script runs but nothing appears on facebook page.

I was able to get the plugin working again by deactivating and reactivating it. Unfortunately it auto publishes one tweet and stops working again. I am using 1.3.1 with WordPress version 3.9.1. Has anyone else run into this issue? I think I may need to try a new plugin as this one is pretty buggy.

There’s only a way to resolve the problem: delete last updates and upload an older version (ver. 1.2.2. works). I tried every trick but that’s the (sad) solution. I hope the plugin author will fix soon anything should be fixed.

I experienced that only in Facebook. I guessed there were some other plugin which annoyed the Autopublish, I deactivated all but the plugin didn’t work yet. My site runs on WP 3.9.1 and I’m not 100% sure but I’ve got the problem just after last update from 3.9.0.

After enabling every output about errors (WP debug mode) I received no errors/notice/warning. Just a warning in the firebug console about an unknown “ping error” towards FB (when my script called a function made to update post_status and halted without errors). I’m very sorry but I didn’t copy the error because I needed to restore asap my site and I decided to set up older version of the plugin.

I tried also to post from the WP standard post form, no hang but no autopublish. Hope these informations could help you to find the problem.

With my issue. The plugin has totally stopped working. It will submit one post when deactivated and reactivated then it fails again. It could be FB crashing it… but I am not sure. I have deactivated all plugins as well and it still doesn’t work.

I have given up on the plugin now but would like to reinstall if the issue can be fixed!!

we have tested using a facebook version 1 app as well as version 2 app with plugin version 1.3.1 on our test server and could post multiple times to fb profile and page in all 3 formats (simple text, share a link, attach blog post)

so as of now we are not able to figure out the reason for this issue.
it might be related to your app or server. (not 100% sure)

could anyone submit your admin access at our support desk so that we could check further?

Could I just follow up on Sba Nyft’s post and the comment “After enabling every output about errors (WP debug mode) I received no errors/notice/warning”? I was wondering why I wasn’t seeing any WP Debug messages on my theme at all and then today I discovered that it was Social Media Auto Publish that was preventing debugging working. So that might be why you didn’t see any errors.
