Auto Posts are only posting the headlines, but none of the content

    Everything was working fine, then all of a sudden it started posting only the headlines, but it includes none of the content such as author, source, text of post, etc.

    Also, there are only 6 posts showing. There is no option to view more like there used to be.

    I validated the feeds using the Check Your Feeds feature and updated the feed database, but that made no difference.

    I’m not sure what else to check. Any suggestions would be a great help.

  • I’m having the same problem too. Anyone have a solution?

    EDIT: I’ve found a solution: Go to Autopost (left sidebar menu), find the heading Word Output Setting, and select ‘Give me Everything’ in the DDL

    I have changed that setting, but I am still only getting a small part of the posts text.

    Yes, I’m experiencing the same thing. I only get the headlines. I tried lord_dev’s solution (thank you), but don’t see anything yet. Maybe a cache issue.

    If anyone finds another solution, I’d be every grateful.

    Can you please send me a link to your RSS feed? The body text needs to be in the actual RSS feed (not the website the feed is linking to).

    The only criteria that I want to show up is:
    Title with linked URL, full body text, Facebook and Twitter share buttons (No date of post or author).
    My plan was to use this custom feed RSS Multi importer and put it into MailChimp enewsletter. I tried their custom feed options and it was not happy with the formatting, so I was looking for plugins that I could use to manipulate how the feed looked.

    I have spent several hours over the last 3 days trying to figure out the importer, but maybe I just need to step away from it for a bit — or find someone who can help (like you!)

    You can only extract information that is displayed on the feed itself (not the webpage it is linked to).

    In this case, you can only get:

    • Title – Cultural Spheres 2015 International Exhibition
    • Body – January 24-February 7; reception: Tuesday, February 3, 6-8 pm Gallery FIT, The Museum at FIT Panel discussion: Thursday, February 5, 12:20-2 pm Pomerantz Center, Room D522 The exhibition unites the
    • Date – 13 January 2015 22:51
    • Image – If there is an image

    You might be able to get a couple of other things. But nothing from the actual page your feed is linking to e.g. https://news.fitnyc.edu/2015/01/13/cultural-spheres-2015-international-exhibition/

    (as far as I know, anyway)

    Ah, thank you. So if I want it to pull the full text, it would be something that I would have to set up on the WordPress end so that the tagged page: https://news.fitnyc.edu/tag/fit-direct-events/ — which only currently displays the truncated version of the description, would display the full text — and then the RSS feed might display the full text?

    I’ll test that out.
