Auto Post Thumbnail not working anymore with linked images

    I’m using this wonderful plugin without any problem on an installation of WordPress 3.4.2. Now I’m testing it on WP 3.5.1 (on a MAMP local environment, and on another installation online): it works only with attached images to the post, while linked images (from Flickr, for example) are not generating thumbnails anymore. Have someone else noticed this? Thank you in advance for feedback.
