• Hi there,

I would like a way for a new user to see the subscription form on a welcome page,
see a prompt for ‘ signing up for discounts and updates’ and just tap submit.

I think it’s a bit odd for them to have to enter their first and last name, plus email address, then tap Subscribe when this is already stored in WordPress users.

Is there a solution to do something like this with you?

  • Hello @tellyboxcasting

Instead of using a prompt on a welcome page, you can actually enable MailPoet to integrate directly with your WordPress registration form. Go to MailPoet >> Settings then enable the option to “Subscribe in registration form”.

This will add a check box (that you can later customize) that will give users who register the option to subscribe to a MailPoet list (in addition to the “WordPress Users” list). This also enables WordPress users to receive confirmation emails (if sign-up confirmation is enabled).

For your existing users, they’ve been added to the “WordPress Users” list. Kindly check MailPoet >> Lists to see them. WordPress users are added as “Unconfirmed”, so they can opt-in and receive newsletters from you.

For the “unconfirmed” users on WordPress Users list, you have the option to resend the confirmation email so they can opt-in. To do that, just follow the the steps listed here: https://kb.mailpoet.com/article/128-why-enable-signup-confirmation-double-opt-in
