  • Hi @doanvutuan1994,

    Thanks for your comment.

We understand that your website has been affected by the Yoast SEO v7.0 bug which allowed your attachment pages to be indexed. We publicly apologized for the mistake and explained how to recover from the bug on this post: https://yoast.com/media-attachment-urls/

The Yoast SEO: Search Index Purge plugin will help you purge attachment URLs from the search index by making all of your website’s attachment URLs return an HTTP 410 (content is gone) status. Google has approved of our method to solve this issue in the fastest possible way.

We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you.

Can’t believe you did not contact your customers to tell you explicitely about the problem !

5 months later, there are still people around here that were not aware of your dumb issue (thanks joost), and will struggle to fix it.

How many people will probably never notice?

    Shame on you Yoast
Don’t bother with your automatic apologize reply, I got it several times already

    Hi @jimcin,

    Thanks for following up.

We wish we had anticipated the consequences of the bug earlier as it would’ve allowed us to adopt counteracting measures sooner. That said, we admit we should’ve communicated the bug better so we’ll improve how we inform our users about bugs in the future.

We are really sorry you’re affected by the bug. Please, follow the steps of this guide to de-index the attachment pages and let us know if you have any questions.
