Auto-increment Processor does not display correctly

When I use a field that displays an auto-increment value in an email it displays as the correct value when emailing my company. The issue comes when a customer receives an email from an auto-responder with the same value it displays as:
2018/09/17{increment_capture:increment_value}W
Why does this not show the actual value?
