Hi Tobias,

first of all thanks a lot for developing this great plugin and all the effort put into it! It’s really a great tool.

My situation:
I am importing table data from an external site using JSON / URL import and so far for the manual import it is working fine.

Problem:
As soon as I turn on the auto import feature and auto import has run successfully (as stated in the ‘Last Auto Import’ column) the table data will no longer be displayed. Only the empty table layout is showing up without any data in it.
Example: https://www.handball-baden.de/ergebnisse-tabellen/torschuetzen-badenliga-damen/
Here is how it should look like actually (w/o auto import): https://www.handball-baden.de/ergebnisse-tabellen/torschuetzen-badenliga/

The strange thing is: As soon as I open the auto-updated table in table press and press ‘save changes’ (without actually modifying anything) the table will show up again normal until the next auto import cycle.

Do you know what is happening here?

Can you please provide details as to where you are importing from? Maybe there’s something wrong with the import source?

thanks! That looks fine and the manual import works fine for me, too.

If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

Hi,

just for everybody following this thread:
I’m working directly with ztobi on this. So far, we have found the JSON format in the API that he accesses might be causing this, as it returns a JSON-encoded array of objects, instead of an array of arrays as the TablePress import functions expect it.
We are testing a possible fix that should make the import more robust here.
