Auto-Import comments from Social Networks – not working

    Hi,

    I am using the “Auto-Import comments from Social Networks” function, everything is correctly set up and activated. I can click on “import comments”, this works… but “Plugin will check for the new comments every hour” does not work at all.

    Three hours ago 8 people commented on a post on facebook (auto-postes via auto-poster) – and the post still has no imported comments. Why? I thought this would happen automatically every hour?

    “every hour” relays on correct WP Cron.
    Please go to the Help/Support tab and click “Show WP Cron” test results.

    My cronjobs start every 10 minutes automatically.

    Cron Check Results:
    ==== Cron was executed 2 times in 15 minutes ====

    “Your WP Cron is OK”

    So there is no problem. I now had to import the comments manually. Usually it should do it automatically, but after 3 1/2 hours still no imported comments – just when doing it manually.

    I can confirm that Auto-Importing comments from social networks (Facebook) doesn’t work for me either.

    Manually importing does work though.

    Please Install any cron plugin and check if you have nxs_hourly_event running.

    Hello, I am using “WP Crontrol” all the time to check cronjobs. Yes, “nxs_hourly_event” is in it.

    Yup, nxs_hourly_event is running fine for me as well.

    OK, I was able to fix this issue (at least for now) by unchecking Enable “Comments Import” in the settings, hitting Update Settings. And then checking it again and hitting Update Settings again.

    It now seems to be working.

    Still not working. Waiting since days that some comments of a shared article get imported. Nothing. Cronjob is working well, everything is correctly set up. Nothing happens. Author?

    P.S: When manually importing comments I found out that if there is any kind of smiley within the comment on facebook the comment just stops at exactly this point. I don′t mean usual smileys like ?? or so. If there is any other smiley, that is a bit unusual: The comment gets cut off. Author?
