Auto-generated meta description is too long

    Hi, a new member who cancelled Yoast SEO after four years for the better!

    Rank Math plugin’s auto-generated meta descriptions for the custom post types are too long. I don’t have custom meta descriptions for the posts or custom post types (same settings), it gets description from the contents. Regular post meta descriptions are fine (around 160 characters) but custom post types meta description are too long. Can you please look through this?

    Thank you for contacting the support and sorry for any inconvenience that might have been caused due to that.

    We trim only the auto-generated description which is generated from the content. Please check this screencast from our setup:

    We added the description text from your site in the content and on the frontend it trimmed the description.

    Please ensure that you have not added the meta description text manually in the SEO description field.

    As I said earlier, trimmed meta description is showing for the regular post types but not for the custom post types. Your screen recording is for the regular post types. Can you check it for the custom post types also? Thanks

    The screencast that we shared is from the Product post type.

    If you are still not seeing it, and assuming you are using the latest version of all the plugins, themes, and WordPress (please update if not yet), it would seem like a conflict with one of the plugins or the theme you are using.
