Auto generate trailers for bulk import movies

  • Hello,

    Im currently importing a lot of movies. But I need the plugin to generate the Trailers automatically.

    How can I achieve this?

    Now, i have to edit each page manually and click the magnifier glass and stuf, which is alot for a couple of 100 movies

    You can’t, unfortunately. The plugin itself does not support trailers, and the experimental trailer plugin I built years ago is completely obsolete.

    Trailers in general are not reliable, as videos can be removed from YouTube or other hosts without the API being updated; a reliable Trailers support would require a dedicated trailer API, which means more work than I can currently handle.

    Ah damn. And there also isnt a way to “click” the button automatically when it is imported? Or add the button in the queueu list?

    @caercam there must be a relative easy way to do it?? Cronjobs? idk, im desperate, need this function to automate to make my website generate revenue :p

    Sorry, I don’t really have a solution to this… Like I said, the trailer plugin was an experiment, that proved to be highly unreliable; cronjobs or any other development relying on it to work won’t be suitable for public release and therefore require freelance work, which I’m reluctant to offer because of the aforementioned unreliability of trailers :-/

    Maybe its possible to add the button to quick edit on pages?
