Auto Delete Comments Containing Words

  • Is there a plugin that can automatically delete comments which contain specific words? My website is getting flooded with crap about Michael Kors handbags. I’d also like to have any comment that contains asian text get automatically deleted as well.

    Any help?

  • You can use the standard ‘Comment Blacklist’ and ‘Comment Moderation’ settings in the admin area. They don’t delete commetns but will either set them as SPAM or place them in a moderation queue.

    There’s a few plugins around that work to reduce SPAM. The main one is Akismet but there’s others that do a good job as well. Just do a search in the plugins area on this site.
