Auto Create story from post

    Is there a way where we can easily create a story for a post? Like a custom field on the post page that says ‘create story’ and it could grab the featured image or media could be uploaded right there. I’ve seen other ‘story’ plugins do this…

    Hey there @zafooba , thanks for reaching out with your topic. Currently, you can easily create a story from the WordPress Admin Bar. Were you looking for a way to go from the Stories block to create a new story?

    Hello, @luckynasan thanks for getting back to me. I meant a story gets created automatically from a post. Such as a default template, maybe featured image is used and then a story is created when a post is published.

    Same question – manually creating separate stories, going back to main article to embed them… very time consuming and don’t think it’s wort it. We would love to automate Web Story creation along with pot creation.

    Automatically creating a boilerplate story from a given post is something that’s on our roadmap but also very complex to implement. Stories are fundamentally different from posts and so are the requirements for images and videos. Thus, right now we recommend putting in that extra effort to create a high-quality story.

    But again, it’s on our roadmap so we’ll keep thinking about it.
