    Hi there,

I notice that my products on my facebook shop are not under their categories anymore. This used to be the case. No idea why this changed.

Is there any way to auto sync the products in their respective categories?
Only way I see is to manually add products in FB shop…which would be a nightmare.

    Thanks in advance

    Best regards,

    Jim

  • Hi,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us. I am not entirely sure I understand your issue at hand or what it is that is no longer working.

How did you add your products in Facebooks shop underneath ‘their’ categories? You probably added a field mapping for that?

In our woocommerce we have product categories like pre-order, lightweight, heavyweight, accesories,…

In Facebook store I created those categories as well and the right products used to be in the right category there as well…until recently.

I’m not entirely sure if I did this all manually in the past. Anyway now it’s gone. So I was looking into automatically categorizing them in Facebook store again, but can’t find a proper solution for this. Now my Facebook store categories are empty.

I hope this makes it a bit more clear ??

We are also not entirely sure how this works in Facebook shops but I believe this blog post gives some clarity: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/526764014610932?id=725943027795860

You can either add Google’s category taxonomy to the feed or Facebook’s category taxonomy. The most commonly used one is Google’s which our plugin also supports.

Paragraph 3 of this tutorial shows how to do it:

Now the problem is that I don’t think Google/Facebook’s category taxonomy contains the category names you used before (pre-order, lightweight, heavyweight, accesories) so I doubt you can add those automatically using a feed.

    Hi,

Assuming the issue at hand has been resolved or our support is no longer required I am going to close this topic for housekeeping reasons now.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to our support-team again whenever you need our help.
