Auto country shows server country, not client country

    Hello there,

    Thanks for this nice plugin. I have an issue with it, though. I want the country in the telephone field to be the client’s country. However, it always shows the server’s country (The Netherlands).

    Is it possible to do the automatic country selection on the client side? I dug into your code, and it seems you also have a made a JS implementation for this (and an example of how to use it in {plugin}/assets/js/custom_scripts.js). I tried to copy the code from this file to my theme, but it didn’t work.

    Can you tell me how to get this to work?

    Thank you for using my plugin.
    If you are looking for auto country selection. There an option in plugin settings.
    I am sharing a screenshot of plugin settings.

    If you enable auto country code selection. It will work based on computer IP address.
    If you are a developer you can checkout the plugin file.
    plugins\country-phone-field-contact-form-7\includes/include-js-css.php

    As I check the javascript code. There no initcountry value right now.

    hello on my cpf setting it shows all well marked but it doesn’t show the phone flag nor the country flag based on pc ips?

    from the start it was working but now it doesn’t and i tried to desactivate and activate the plugin to see if it would work but nothing strange ? i can’t understand that? thanks for help
