Auto Companion doesn’t update itself

  • I have installed Companion Auto Update with this configuration (image1 and image2) and the plugins weren’t update, not even Companion Auto Update (see image).

    Am I configuring it wrong? Or why is it not working?

    Oh, yes.

    I see this.

    I click on “fix”, and it says “Error fixed” but it seems not because the critical error is still appearing in the status.

    The critical error is happening because updating is globally disabled with AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED being true.

    I read that this is done in the wp-config by the following line:

    define( 'AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED', true );

    So I went to the wp-config.php file, and didn’t see that line.

    Do I added but with false? Like the following:

    define( 'AUTOMATIC_UPDATER_DISABLED', false );

    Sorry for the late reply.
    Yes changing the line to false, or removing it completely should fix the issue.

    Strange that the plugin didn’t do that, it should update the config file too but seems something went wrong there.
