Auto-capturing payment methods

    Hello,

    We have been informed by YITH Subscription plugin support that auto-capturing payment methods is no longer available with the WooCommerce Stripe Gateway due to recent updates. This has caused issues with subscription renewals, as the ‘Save payment information to my account for future purchases’ checkbox must now be ticked for recurring payments to work.

    We would like to know if auto-capturing payment methods is possible with the Woo Payment plugin without requiring customers to check the ‘Save payment information to my account for future purchases’ checkbox. Could you please confirm if your plugin supports this feature?

    WooPayments does support recurring payments when used with WooCommerce Subscriptions.

    However, regarding your specific question about auto-capturing payment methods without requiring customers to check the ‘Save payment information to my account for future purchases’ checkbox, it’s important to note that the behavior of payment gateways can vary depending on updates and regulatory changes.

    Since this issue relates closely to the recent updates from Stripe, I recommend creating a ticket through your WooCommerce.com account, where our Happiness Engineers confirm if WooPayments supports this feature or if there are any workarounds for your case.
