Auto Cancel Strip Subscription

  • I am trying to test / figure out if this plugin with automatically cancel the stripe subscription when a membership expires. I have reviewed this documentation but it seems like a process for handling cancellation on request.

    If you have a membership level that runs for 4 years, which is billed annually via stripe at the end of the 4 year period with the strip subscription be cancelled too?

    Hi,

    If you enable Account Deletion under Advanced Settings tab. This will allow the members to click on Delete Account button displayed in their profile. This will delete their Stripe subscription account.

    Also if you want you can also create a Stripe Subscription Cancellation Button for the Members if you want to offer a button that your members can click on your site to cancel an existing Stripe subscription, then use the following shortcode on a page:

    [swpm_stripe_subscription_cancel_link]

    Logged-in members can click on the button created by this shortcode to cancel a Stripe subscription.

    This is helpful, but what about when an membership expires. Is there an automatic process where this plugin trigger the subscription cancelation in stripe?

    When a member expires the Stripe account will be cancelled automatically as well.

    I our testing this is not the case… the Stripe subscription lives on.
