I recently installed WooCommerce with USPS shipping cost set by weight of item. My first two sales were for multiple items in each shipment. Shipping was auto-calculated based on weight of one item, not total weight of all items. Is there a fix for this? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there, are you using USPS Shipping Method to set this up?

If so, have you played with the different parcel packing method like this: https://d.pr/i/vlt7A8

The box packer included with this shipping method lets you group items into packages for which you define height, width, length, weight and max-weight. Packing is mainly volume based but also considers item size. When using the Recommended: Pack into boxes with weights and dimensions Parcel Packing Method, the Box Sizes table will appear. Click ‘Add Box’ to set up dimensions for your packages. Here is how the calculation will work: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/usps-shipping-method/#section-12

    How to setup Boxes:
You can check this article on how to setup boxes: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/usps-shipping-method/?#box-packing

Let us know how that goes or if you run into any further trouble. If so, could you please provide us with a screenshot so that we can see what you are describing?

Making a screenshot is relatively straightforward. But it can vary from operating system to operating system. For example, it’s different whether you’re on Windows or on a Mac. However, we have a handy guide on how to make one here:

This free site will let you send a screenshot by copying and pasting a link to the screenshot: https://snipboard.io/ Please share that link here and we can dig deeper. Thanks!

Thanks. I was hoping the basic plugin could do this. My previous e-commerce plugin was able to. If the only way is to buy the $79/year add-on I will have to consider other plugin options before committing to that. I wouldn’t hesitate for a one-time fee but the annual fee is a little steep for the amount of commerce I do.

    Hi there, thanks for clarifying!

All WooCommerce extensions come with a license key that is valid for one year. The license key gives you access to our WooCommerce support staff, and any updates to the plugin you purchased.

Once your subscription expires, you can still use the product on your site for as long as you like but you can no longer access the file for download or receive support or updates for the product. Many of our store owners download their product(s) before the expiration of their subscription to keep a copy on file, if they know they cannot or will not renew.

You can see the full WooCommerce [Support Policy](https://woocommerce.com/support-policy/), as well as read over our handy [FAQs page](https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/frequently-asked-questions/) for further information.

Also, if you want to try it, we have a 30-day refund policy. If the product doesn’t work the way you need or you think another product would work better, we are more than happy to provide a full refund.

You can read more about our refund policy on our website here: https://woocommerce.com/refund-policy/

I hope that helps, please do let us know if you have any additional questions!
