But It doesn’t like javascript. Is there a way to get this to work with a javascript as the ad.

Is there any possibility of using Javascript with this.

Nope that just turns the javascript into text.

The problem is, that is turns the link within the script into a comment because of the //.

this doesn’t work too well if a user has quotes in the signature, anyone know a way around it?

You could also use single quotes to enclose double quotes:
$advText = ‘This will “quote” work’;
or if your sig gets more complicated and has both types, break up it:
$advText = “This will” . ‘ “quote” ‘ . “work even with ‘quote’ both”;
