I installed WP SlimStat yesterday and trying to get everything setup. The authors on my site are not able to view their own stats, like the plugin states is allowed. I have gone into permissions and clicked Yes for Restrict Authors and then have the Capability field at activate_plugins, per the default. They click on Overview and it says they do not have permission to view them. I tried putting Capability blank and saved the changes, but then it puts in “read” and the authors can see the stats for the whole site, not just their own articles. What needs to be in Capability in order for them to see only their own stats?

I have the latest version of SlimStat (3.5.9), so not sure what I am doing wrong. My site is here:

Is this still happening? We cannot reproduce this in 3.5.9. Are you using any special plugin to handle your users?

It was not allowing them to see it, so I uninstalled the plugin and went back to Jetpack. I would like to use it and allow the writers to see their own stuff, but not all the stats for the site, which happened if I left it blank. No plugin is installed to handle the users.

We finally were able to identify a possible cause. Please test the next update (which we hope to release around April 20) and let us know if it works for you.

We’re releasing v3.6 tomorrow. Let us know if it solves your issue.

I think i have the same problem. if i don’t set the Authors can see stats of their posts only , then they can see whole site stats, including their own post stats.
If i set i restrict it then they see nothing.

We solved tbetzold’s issue, it was something partially unrelated. Please start your own topic.
