Authors list by Role

  • Hi,
    I am building a website which contains articles from several authors.
    Is there a way to display the members which have a specific Role (created with the Role Manager plugin) assigned? . I created different roles (chiefs, writers, submitters, etc) to give specific cababilities, and now I want to realize a “Who we are” page with the list of all the “writers”. I cannot use the wp_list_authors function, because it’d display as well other roles, such as “submitters”. I’m looking for something like “wp_list_writers”, “wp_list_chiefs”, “wp_list_subscribers”, etc… or whatsoever would make the trick…

    Any idea?

  • Good question. No, but the List Authors Plus plugin could help you achieve that. You could use it to filter out the roles – I’m not sure at this point if it can recognize Role Manager created roles but you can filter the users by ID or name.
