Authors don’t show up even the ‘post authors’ is enabled.

  • Recently started having multiple contributors to my blog but the posts are not identifying the authors even though that function is enabled. I know it used to work fine and I’m not aware of any changes made that might have affected that function.

    I’m not the person who built it, i just run the content. I’m only guessing as to the version of word press I am using but it hasn’t been upgraded to the latest version and the blog was built less than a year ago.

    Akismet and Viper Video are the only plug ins. https://www.madgods.com/blog is the site.

    I searched the forums but the only thread I found that addressed this was over my head with code talk. As I said before, there hasn’t been any changes to the backend code so I’m hoping this is a common problem with a simple answer, some sort of oversight on my part.

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?
