Authors cannot upload images into posts but Admins can

  • Our authors can no longer upload images into posts. They get the error message: An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

    Admins can upload images fine, so although I’ve seen all the other possible workarounds (bad plugin, change theme, etc.), I have to believe that this is a Role permissions problem, rather than any of the other suggested problems.

    Would appreciate help to resolve this.

    Additional info:

    On the site in question, I created a new user with the Role of Author, and the same problem occurred, so that validated my user role theory.

    However, I then did the same thing on a completely different site, and the problem does not happen for Authors on that installation.

    So…it’s not a matter of JUST roles. There must be something…theme or plugin related…that is tied into the user roles to be causing this. Finding the culprit may be a nightmare. Not fun.

    hmmz, its annoying.. i loved to work with the media library on the front end in 3.4

    One thing i dont get. WP user frontend also uses the library on the frontend. That gives no problems. But im to newby to understand all the code work ??
